Shares in genetic-testing specialist Qiagen (QGEN.DE) are indicated 3.8 percent higher, set to be the top gainer among technology stocks, after the company late Monday tweaked its full-year earnings outlook and posted better-than-expected quarterly results.

"Positive news, results in all areas above expectations, very strong organic growth rate," DZ Bank analyst Michael Bissinger writes in a note.

Qiagen says that 2009 adjusted diluted earnings per share would be between $0.88 and $0.90, lifting the lower limit from $0.86 previously. For more double click on [ID:nBNG459939]
