BRIEF-Soccer-Batistuta set to score goals for Boca on horseback
BUENOS AIRES, July 9 (Reuters) - Argentina's all time record marksman Gabriel Batistuta could soon be scoring goals for Boca Juniors on horseback.
Former Boca, Fiorentina and AS Roma striker Batistuta, who scored 56 goals in 78 matches for Argentina, has taken up polo and is expected to feature in a new quartet, Boca Polo Team, to be launched later this year, local media said.
A prerequisite for joining the team is to be a lifelong fan of Boca so 40-year-old Batistuta fits the bill. He has already played in exhibition games alongside the world's top polo player, Argentine Adolfo Cambiaso.
