LONDON, July 10 (Reuters) - European shares extended losses in late afternoon on Friday, tracking weaker U.S. markets after a key reading of U.S. consumer confidence came in below expectations. At 1523 GMT, the FTSEurofirst 300 index of top European shares was down 1.1 percent at 814.54 points (Reporting by Brian Gorman)
