Barker says housing affordability unlikely to improve

CHELMSFORD (Reuters) - Homes are unlikely to become more affordable this year even if house prices fall, Bank of England policymaker Kate Barker said on Wednesday.

"We may see prices adjust downwards but there is no clear evidence that affordability will improve," Barker said at a housing and planning event in eastern England.
