AMSTERDAM, Nov 11 (Reuters) - Dutch engineering consultancy Arcadis NV (ARDS.AS) posted a 22 percent rise in third-quarter net income on Wednesday and revised its outlook slightly higher as its infrastructure division offset declines in buildings.

The Arnhem-based company said net income from operations, which excludes amortisation and non-operational items and came in at 18.2 million euros in the third quarter, was now expected to rise rather than decrease in 2009 by up to 5 percent.

"In all three business lines we benefit from government stimulus programmes," Chief Executive Harrie Noy said. "Because our capacity has been adjusted, revenues will also be lower in the coming quarters.  Continued...
