UPDATE 2-Arcadis Q3 net up on strong infrastructure

AMSTERDAM, Nov 11 (Reuters) - Dutch engineering consultancy Arcadis NV (ARDS.AS) posted a 22 percent rise in third-quarter net income on Wednesday and revised its outlook slightly higher as its infrastructure division offset declines in buildings.

The Arnhem-based company said net income from operations, which excludes amortisation and non-operational items and came in at 18.2 million euros in the third quarter, was now expected to rise rather than decrease in 2009 by up to 5 percent.

"In all three business lines we benefit from government stimulus programmes," Chief Executive Harrie Noy said. "Because our capacity has been adjusted, revenues will also be lower in the coming quarters.
