STOCKS NEWS EUROPE-Banks help stocks resume rally

European shares rise in early trade, resuming their sharp one-week rally, with Credit Agricole (CAGR.PA) surging 4 percent after the French bank's quarterly results pleased investors, while upbeat Chinese macro data lift sentiment.

The FTSEurofirst 300 .FTEU3 index of top European shares is up 0.7 percent at 1,017.22 points.

BNP Paribas (BNPP.PA) is up 1.7 percent, UniCredit (CRDI.MI) is up 0.6 percent and ING (ING.AS) is up 5 percent.
