AMSTERDAM, Nov 12 (Reuters) - Dutch oil and chemicals storage firm Vopak (VOPA.AS) raised its full-year outlook on Thursday as strong demand for oil products storage and expanding capacity helped boost third quarter profits.
Earnings before interest and tax (EBIT), excluding exceptional items, were 104.2 million euros in the third quarter, compared with 80.8 million euros in the same period in 2008.
In the first nine months of the year, operating profit excluding exceptionals came to 288.4 million euros, beating a 280 million average forecast in a Reuters poll of analysts.
Vopak said it now expected earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA), excluding exceptionals, of at least 510 million euros in the full year, up from a previous forecast of about 495 million euros. Continued...
