LONDON, Nov 12 (Reuters) - Tottenham Hotspur's Italian goalkeeper Carlo Cudicini was taken to hospital with fractured wrists on Thursday after being involved in a road accident, the Premier League club said.
"Carlo Cudicini has fractured his wrists and injured his pelvis after being involved in a road accident this morning," a club statement said.
"He has been admitted to hospital and undergone scans under the supervision of club medical staff. The club will update supporters on Carlo as soon as there is any further information."
Police were called to a collision between a BMW motorcycle and a Ford Fiesta at 1030 GMT in Walthamstow, close to Tottenham's White Hart Lane stadium.
A Metropolitan Police spokesman said Cudicini's injuries could be "life-changing".
"London ambulance service, Hems (the London air ambulance) and police attended and discovered the 36-year-old male motorcyclist suffering from injuries described by LAS as possibly life changing," a Metropolitan Police spokesman said.
"He has been taken to an east London hospital for further assessment and treatment." Continued...
