BRIEF-Motorcycling-Gibernau's MotoGP team pull out - reports
MILAN, July 12 (Reuters) - Sete Gibernau's satellite Ducati team Grupo Francisco Hernando have pulled out of the MotoGP world championship because of the global economic crisis, Italian media reported on Sunday.
The Spaniard, back in MotoGP having retired in 2006, will now not take part in Sunday's German Grand Prix.
"The first to be surprised was me. We fought to get this project going. It's a shame," Gibernau was quoted as saying. (Writing by Mark Meadows; Editing by Ed Osmond; To query or comment on this story email sportsfeedback@thomsonreuters.com)
