ISTANBUL, Nov 12 (Reuters) - Turkish energy firm Zorlu Enerji (ZOREN.IS) plans to produce 10,000 gigawatt hours of power in five years and wants to boost its share in distribution, said Enerji Group Chairman Murat Sungur Bursa.

The government is tendering off its 134,400 gigawatt hour capacity power distribution grids. Although it applied for prequalification in two tenders this year, Zorlu Enerji has not bid for a contract.

Earlier this year Bursa said Zorlu had raised its investment target to $6 billion to $8 billion in order to boost production capacity to 4,200 megawatts from about 560 mw this year. (Reporting by Melis Senerdem)
