Shell extends force majeure on Nigeria oil exports
LONDON, Sept 12 (Reuters) - Royal Dutch Shell (RDSa.L) said on Friday that it has extended the force majeure on Nigerian Bonny Light crude exports.
The force majeure has been extended because of security concerns in the oil-rich Niger Delta region in Nigeria and because the Anglo-Dutch oil major has found more leaks at a Bonny Light pipeline, a Shell spokesman said.
The company did not give a specific date for the ending of the force majeure, which was initially declared after sabotage to the Nembe Creek pipeline in July and was initially in effect to the end of September.
