RIO DE JANEIRO, July 13 (Reuters) - Former national coach Carlos Alberto Parreira became the latest victim of Brazil's coaching merry-go-round when he was sacked by Fluminense on Monday after just four months in the job.

Parreira was one of three trainers sacked on Monday after less than five months in their jobs, with nine having joined, left or changed clubs in the opening 10 matches of the Brazilian championship.

"Sharpened guillotine," said globoesporte.com website.

"Carlos Alberto Parreira is no longer trainer of Fluminense. The decision was agreed by the club's board and sponsor this Monday morning," said a statement on the club's website (www.fluminense.com.br).

The decision came after five matches without victory left Fluminense in the relegation zone and followed Sunday's 1-0 home loss to modest Santo Andre.  Continued...
