LONDON, Aug 13 (Reuters) - India's Tata Steel (TISC.BO) said on Wednesday its planned Vietnam steel plant will cost an estimated $5 billion and have final capacity of 4.5 million tonnes per year.

"The Integrated Steel Plant will be built in three phases," the company said in a statement. "The first phase of the complex will be a cold rolling mill to be commissioned by end 2010."

The company earlier said its Singapore unit signed a joint venture agreement with Vietnam Steel Corp and Vietnam Cement Industries to build a steel complex in the Southeast Asian country. (Reporting by Humeyra Pamuk, editing by Michael Roddy)
