LONDON, July 13 (Reuters) - Sterling fell to a five-week low against the euro on Monday as the UK currency came under broad selling pressure as struggling share prices suggested ongoing risk aversion, while the euro remained fairly supported.

The euro EURGBP=R rose roughly 1 percent on the day to 86.81 pence according to Reuters data, its highest level since early June. The pound was down around 0.9 percent against the dollar GBP=D4, while the euro EUR= was little changed versus the U.S. currency.
