Shares in Q-Cells (QCEG.DE) are indicated 10 percent lower at 11.80 euros in pre-bourse trade, making them the top decliners among German tech stocks .TECDAX, after the world's largest maker of solar cells withdraws its full-year sales outlook, expecting a substantial operating loss in the second quarter. "(Q-Cells released) disastrous preliminary second-quarter numbers," says a Frankfurt-based trader.

"We expect (the) share to open below 10 euros today. The second quarter result will also drag down other solar stocks," the trader adds.

Many of Q-Cells solar peers are also seen in negative territory. SolarWorld (SWVG.DE) is indicated 4.6 percent lower, while Phoenix Solar (PS4G.DE) is 1.2 percent lower in pre-bourse trade.
