German stocks - Factors to watch on July 15
FRANKFURT, July 15 (Reuters) - The DAX top-30 index .GDAXI looked set to open 0.9 percent higher on Wednesday, according to premarket data from brokers at 0608 GMT.
The following are some of the factors that may move German stocks on Wednesday:
VOLKSWAGEN (VOWG.DE), PORSCHE (PSHG_p.DE)
Volkswagen indicated 0.6 percent higher
Porsche indicated 0.4 percent higher
The agenda of Porsche's supervisory board meeting scheduled for July 23 would only discuss Qatar's possible purchase of a stake in Porsche SE but not an alternative plan by Volkswagen Chairman Ferdinand Piech for VW to buy a 49 percent stake in Porsche AG, German daily Bild reported, citing company sources.
Separately, VW's premium carmaker Audi will achieve clearly positive earnings this year, Audi Chief Executive Rupert Stadler told German daily Neue Ruhr Zeitung in an interview.
Volkswagen is also planning to invest $1 billion to expand its plant in the central Mexican state of Puebla to produce a new model in early 2010. [ID:nN14281404] Continued...
