Italian Stocks - Factors to watch on Feb 17
MILAN, Feb 17 (Reuters) - The following factors could affect Italian markets on Tuesday.

ENEL (ENEI.MI)
The board could meet today or Wednesday to approve the company's purchase of the remaining 25 percent of Spain's Endesa (ELE.MC) from Acciona (ANA.MC), several newspapers report.
Italy's antitrust agency gave the green light to Terna's purchase of Enel's high-voltage network. [nRAT004440]
GENERALI (GASI.MI), ALLEANZA ALZI.MI
Generali could be studying the possibility of buying out minorities in Alleanza, where it already has just over 50 percent, Il Sole 24 Ore and Corriere della Sera report, citing news agency Radiocor. The newspapers say it would be an all-share offer and Generali could use its treasury stock.
* Generali plans to reorganise its life insurance business putting the activities of various of its units under a single company, MF newspaper said.
Generali had no comment on the reports.
* FINMECCANICA (SIFI.MI)
U.S. President Barack Obama wants to review the supply of the president's helicopter fleet by a consortium of Lockheed Martin, Finmeccanica unit AgustaWestland and Bell Helicopter, MF newspaper said, citing Monday's New York Times.
FIAT (FIA.MI), CHRYSLER [CBS.UL]
Struggling U.S. car maker Chrysler presents its viability plan to the U.S. government on Tuesday to justify billions of dollars in loans.
It is in a non-binding agreement with Fiat to form an alliance that would give Chrysler access to small cars and foreign markets.
The loans play a big part in Fiat deciding whether to pursue the alliance.
Italian car dealers are seeing the first evidence of higher car sales in February as a result of the government's environmental incentives, Il Sole 24 Ore said, citing order reservation data from dealers.
ENI (ENI.MI), SNAM RETE GAS (SRG.MI)
Eni's net debt will fall by 2.8 billion euros as a result of the sale to Snam Rete Gas of its wholly owned units Stogit and Italgas, Eni said. [nLG139769]
Russia is ready to increase the export capacity of the South Stream gas pipeline to be built by Eni and Gazprom GAZP.MI, Il Sole 24 Ore said, citing Russian finance minister Aleksei Kudrin after a meeting with Italy ministers.
* A2A (A2.MI), EDISON (EDN.MI)
North Italy utility A2A is monitoring closely possible moves
by Electricite de France (EDF.PA) to sell part of its 19.4
percent direct stake in Edison,. MF newspaper said, citing A2A
chairman Giuliano Zuccoli.
A2A will present Tuesday its 2009-2013 business plan which sees capex of 2.8 billion euros and an EBITDA growth rate of 5 percent. [nLG45157]

JP Morgan changes its price target on several Italian banks. [nWNAB3133]
ITALCEMENTI (ITAI.MI)
The company said it will bid for full control of its Paris-listed unit Ciments Francais in an all-paper deal. [nLG136790]
Italcementi holds a conference call on the deal at 0730 GMT Tuesday.
BANCA POPOLARE MILANO (PMII.MI)
The bank intends to pay a 2008 dividend because the bank owes it to its cooperative shareholders despite a slowdown in fourth-quarter result, its chairman, Roberto Mazzotta, said. [nLG51341]
SMALL AND MID-CAP COMPANIES
* TOD'S (TOD.MI)
HSBC cut its price target on the stock to 29 euros from 41 euros.
SAFILO (SFLG.MI)
The eyeglass maker is in talks to renegotiate 375 million euros of loans with its banks, La Stampa newspaper says.
