(Adds expected time for strait to reopen)

ISTANBUL, Nov 18 (Reuters) - Istanbul's Bosphorus Strait, which connects the Black Sea with the Sea of Marmara, was closed on Wednesday due to heavy fog, but was seen reopening to traffic at 1130 local time (0930 GMT), a shipping agency said.

"The Bosphorus Strait is suspended to all vessels ... and the Bosphorus will reopen at 11:30 hrs local time," GAC Turkey said in a statement.

Turkey's Bosphorus and Dardanelles straits provide the only navigable waterways for oil-exporting Black Sea ports such as Poti, Supsa and Novorossiisk.
