LISBON, Nov 11 (Reuters) - Portuguese fuel and oil company Galp Energia (GALP.LS) posted on Wednesday a 49 percent fall in adjusted nine-month net profit on a 60 percent slump in refining margins and a drop in output, but beat market expectations.
Galp said in a statement net profit fell to 179 million euros ($268.2 million). Earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) fell 36 percent to 472 million euros.
Analysts polled by Reuters had forecast, on average, an adjusted net profit of 163 million euros and EBITDA of 441 million euros. The figures are adjusted to reflect changes in the company's stocks of crude. (Reporting by Andrei Khalip)
