Bruce gas field restarted on Thursday -BP
LONDON (Reuters) - The North Sea Bruce gas field began restarting production on Thursday after a pipeline problem that kept it closed for several weeks was resolved, operator BP said.
Bruce, which produced about 5.8 million cubic metres of gas a day in March, had been due to return from annual maintenance in mid July but a problem with the subsea pipeline connecting it and the Rhum fields to the UK delayed their restart.
"The Bruce field itself is ramping up now," a spokesman for the British oil major said, adding that the field would take several days to return to normal output levels.
