Atlantia sees better than expected 2009 results
ROME, Oct 22 (Reuters) - Italian toll road company Atlantia (ATL.MI) will post better than expected 2009 results thanks to traffic levels that beat forecasts, its CEO said on Wednesday. "The traffic data as of Sept. 30 has been positive and this will be reflected in results for the year. Today the traffic levels are better than what we expected," said Giovanni Castellucci on the sidelines of a conference.
"2009 accounts will be better than expected."
Earlier this month Atlantia said traffic on its Italian motorway network rose 2.4 percent in the third quarter, though it was down 0.8 percent in the first nine months of the year due to the economic slowdown. (Reporting by Laura Viggiano; Editing by David Holmes)
