BRIEF-Soccer-Brazil defender Juan out of Confederations Cup
JOHANNESBURG, June 23 (Reuters) - Brazil defender Juan will miss the rest of the Confederations Cup, the team doctor said on Tuesday.
A scan in Johannesburg showed he had a minor muscle injury in his left leg which will put him out for a week, Jose Luis Runco said on the Brazilian FA's website (www.cbf.com.br).
Juan scored the third goal in his team's 4-3 win over Egypt, missed the 3-0 victory over the United States through injury and for the same reason came off after 24 minutes of the 3-0 triumph over Italy.
Brazil play South Africa in their semi-final in Johannesburg on Thursday. The final is at the same venue on Sunday.
