House prices fall 16.5 percent
LONDON (Reuters) - House prices in England and Wales fell 16.5 percent on the year in February, the Land Registry said on Friday.
The average house price in February stood at 153,862 pounds, a fall of 2 percent on the month, the government agency said.
The Land Registry figures are based on sale completions and therefore lag surveys by mortgage lenders.
