April 25 (Reuters) - Following are security developments in Iraq at 1800 GMT on Saturday.



KIRKUK- A U.S. soldier died from injuries sustained in an attack on a patrol, the U.S. military said, giving no details.

BALAD - Seven Shi'ite pilgrims were wounded when gunmen opened fire at their mini-bus near Balad, 80 km (50 miles) north of Baghdad, while they were travelling to Samarra, police said.

MOSUL - Two soldiers were killed when gunmen attacked their checkpoint in eastern Mosul, 390 km (240 miles) north of Baghdad, police said.

MOSUL - An off-duty police man was killed when gunmen attacked him in central Mosul, police said.

MOSUL - Gunmen attacked and killed an off-duty policeman when they stormed his house in eastern Mosul, police said. (Baghdad newsroom)
