PREVIEW-Soccer-Little and large PSG strike duo ready for Rennes
PARIS, Nov 27 (Reuters) - The new little and large strike pair which has galvanised Paris St Germain's season will get another chance to shine at in-form Stade Rennes on Sunday (2000).
The 1.92-metre (6-foot-2) Guillaume Hoarau, 24, and the 1.64-metre (5-foot-4) Ludovic Giuly have combined to score five goals since the diminutive 32-year-old former Barcelona and AS Roma winger moved up front.
The partnership has helped PSG win their last three Ligue 1 games including a 1-0 victory over leaders Olympique Lyon last weekend.
"I think we complement each other quite well," Giuly told reporters.
"He is tall. He heads many balls and attracts defenders' attention and creates space for me."
PSG are fifth with 26 points from 15 games, seven points behind champions Lyon and two adrift of second-placed Nice who host promoted Grenoble on Saturday (1800).
The Parisian club can now consider themselves title candidates after narrowly escaping relegation the last two seasons.
