STOCKS NEWS EUROPE-Aurelian Oil & Gas up on gas deal
Shares in AIM-listed Aurelian Oil & Gas (AUL.L) rise more than 20 percent, after the company says it will focus its activities on core areas in Poland, Slovakia and Western Romania and agrees to sell gas from Poland.
"They have looked at their assets and decided to concentrate on key projects," Lionel Therond, an analyst at Fox-Davies Capital says, adding the company is getting Gaffney Cline to do a resource report.
He describes the price agreed for gas sales from the Siekierki field of above $9 per thousand cubic feet as "pretty good".
"Voitinel-1 seems also to be coming in better than expected initially," he says, noting that last month the company's shares fell 29 percent on disappointing results from its Voitinel-1 well in Romania. [ID:nBNG519917]
