New directors named on boards of LME, LME Holdings
LONDON, Oct 30 (Reuters) - The London Metal Exchange has announced the election of Jim Land from AMT as a new shareholder representative director of LME Holdings Ltd.
He won 9 out of 11 votes cast, while the other candidates Brian Smith of Barclays Capital and Tim Jones of Royal Bank of Scotland each gained 1 vote, the LME said in a statement.
Barclays' Smith has taken the position of a shareholder representative director of the London Metal Exchange Ltd.
Smith and RBS' Jones had tied in the ballot for this position, gaining 6 votes each, but Jones has said he will not participate in a second ballot, the LME said. (Reporting by Rebekah Curtis; editing by James Jukwey)
