STOCKS NEWS EUROPE-Ipsen rises after FDA Dysport approval
Shares in Ipsen (IPN.PA) gain as much as 8 percent after the U.S. Food and Drug Administration approves the market launch of the French drugmaker's Dysport used to reduce wrinkles and treat cervical dystonia.
"This is excellent news for Ipsen as Dysport is one of the main planks of the group's expansion in the United States," Natixis Securities says in a note.
Ipsen shares are up 5.1 percent at 31 euros.
Ipsen's stock is up 11 percent so far in 2009, while the DJ STOXX European healthcare index .SXDP is down 8 percent over the same period.
