Production at Philippines' Galoc oilfield resumes
MANILA, Nov 10 (Reuters) - Production at the Philippines' Galoc oilfield has resumed after a temporary suspension caused by delays in loading oil, the field operator said on Tuesday.
Galoc Production Company (GPC) said output resumed at 0945 GMT on Monday.
Production was halted two weeks ago pending completion of a cargo off-loading from the Floating Production Storage and Offloading (FPSO) facility.
"Offloading is ongoing as a routine operation with crude oil being transferred from the FPSO to the off-take tanker following replacement of the floating export hose," GPC said in a statement.
Galoc, the first major field to come onstream last year in the underexplored Philippines since the 1990s, has suffered regular disruptions, some of them triggered by bad weather.
The field yields 12,000 to 14,000 barrels per day of light sour Palawan Light crude, similar to Abu Dhabi grades.
GPC, in which European trader Vitol has a 68.6 percent stake and Australian oil firm Otto Energy (OEL.AX) holds 31.4 percent, is the operator of the field, with a 59.84 percent interest.
The remaining 41.71 percent is split between Nido Petroleum (NDO.AX) with 22.28 percent, and several Philippine partners. (Reporting by Manolo Serapio Jr.; Editing by Clarence Fernandez)
