Eni says Kashagan work ongoing, confirms target date

ROME, Sept 27 (Reuters) - Eni (ENI.MI) Chief Executive Paolo Scaroni said on Thursday that work at the Kashagan oil field in Kazakhstan was going forward and confirmed the third quarter of 2010 was the forecast date for production.

"The work is going forward and the forecast for the launch of production in the third quarter of 2010 is confirmed," Scaroni told reporters on the margins of a parliamentary hearing.
