Acciona 9-mth core earnings beats forecasts

MADRID, Nov 12 (Reuters) - Spanish construction and energy group Acciona (ANA.MC) said on Thursday core earnings reached 711 million euros ($1.07 billion) in the first nine months of 2009, beating analysts forecasts.

Acciona's nine-month net profit surged 254.9 percent to 1.23 billion euros, in line with forecasts, boosted by a one-time gain from the sale of the group's stake in power group Endesa (ELE.MC).

Analysts had forecast earnings before taxes, interest, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) of 672.3 million euros ($465.5 million), down from a pro-forma 747 million euros in the same period a year earlier.
