(Adds restarted units unaffected)

HOUSTON, March 2 (Reuters) - Exxon Mobil Corp (XOM.N) said no units at its 149,500-barrel-per-day (bpd) Torrance, California, refinery were shut on Monday afternoon following a malfunction in an unidentified unit.

The company said refinery production was not expected to be affected by the malfunction.

The malfunction did not include units recently restarted following a two-month overhaul, which included the refinery's gasoline-producing fluidic catalytic cracking unit, a company spokeswoman said. (Reporting by Erwin Seba)
