MEXICO CITY, March 2 (Reuters) - Mexican retailer Comerci said on Monday it reached a deal with its creditors to give it more time to work on a debt restructuring, according to a statement filed with the Mexican stock exchange.

Barclays, Goldman Sachs, JP Morgan and Merrill Lynch are now giving Comerci (COMEUBC.MX) until March 23 to show advances in the restructuring process, which it began after running into problems late last year with derivative positions.
