Just A Minute With: Singer Melissa Etheridge

NEW YORK (Reuters Life!) - Melissa Etheridge has no qualms about talking openly about being a gay parent, activist and breast cancer survivor, with her private life earning her as much attention in recent years as her music.

The 46-year-old American rocker, who was declared clear of breast cancer in 2005 and last year gave birth to twins with her actress partner Tammy Lynn Michaels, has just released her ninth album "The Awakening."

She spoke to Reuters about her life after cancer, her children and honesty:

Q: You had twins last year that added to your first two children you had with your former partner. Do you have any plans to have more?

A: "Good Lord, I have four children. Four is fine!"

Q: What if your partner wanted more?

A: "I would say: "Honey, I'm only getting older, but okay!" I think four is really fine and the twins are amazing and with two boys and two girls, it is just so perfect."

Q: Who is the sperm donor of your new children? And were you affected by the backlash after it was revealed (rock singer) David Crosby was the sperm donor of your first two kids?  Continued...
