Entergy completes $100 mln in La. grid projects
HOUSTON, June 4 (Reuters) - Entergy Corp utilities in Louisiana have completed three projects to bolster the high-voltage electric grid in south Louisiana at a cost of more than $100 million, the company said on Thursday.
The projects include rebuilding a 19-mile, 115-kilovolt transmission line in Plaquemines Parish that was heavily damaged by Hurricane Katrina and the upgrading of several lines and substations that run from Baton Rouge to New Orleans.
The new line in Plaquemines Parish was built to withstand 150-mph wind, Entergy said. (Reporting by Eileen O'Grady; Editing by David Gregorio)
