Exxon restarting LA refinery hydrogen unit -state

HOUSTON, Oct 4 (Reuters) - Exxon Mobil's (XOM.N) 150,000 barrel per day (bpd) Los Angeles-area refinery in Torrance, California, was restarting a hydrogen unit after a Wednesday shutdown, according to a notice filed with state pollution regulators.

The refinery also reported unplanned flaring at the refinery to Los Angeles-area air pollution regulators.

An Exxon representative was not immediately available to discuss refinery operations.
