Alon says no output impact from Texas refinery snags
NEW YORK, Oct 4 (Reuters) - Alon USA Energy Inc (ALJ.N) on Thursday reported minor snags including flaring at its 70,000 barrel-per-day Big Spring, Texas, oil refinery, but said there was no effect on production.
"The refinery is operating normally, it's running at capacity," Alon spokesman Claire Hart told Reuters. "They (snags) are all related but there's no impact to production."
Alon said a crude vent gas compressor flared due to high pressure in the suction drum on Wednesday while an acid gas port detected leaks that day, according to separate filings with the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality.
