NEW YORK (Reuters Life!) - Actor Jack Wagner has driven himself to the top of a list of the 100 best Hollywood golfers released on Monday, with the U.S. star of TV soap operas ousting Dennis Quaid from the No. 1 position.
Wagner, 48, moved up from 11th place in the list that was last published by golfing magazine Golf Digest in 2005 with the magazine listing his handicap as +0.3 while Quaid slipped down to No. 9.
Newcomers to the top 10, Lucas Black and Billy Crudup, took the second and third positions playing off handicaps of 2.3 and 4.5 respectively.
Craig T. Nelson, the voice of Mr Incredible in "The Incredibles" movie, and Chris O'Donnell, best known for playing Robin in the Batman movies, rounded out to the top five.
Other newcomers to the top 10 included Scott Wolf at No. 7, Dougray Scott at No. 8 and Flex Alexander in 10th slot.
The star who improved the most from the 2005 list was Haley Joel Osment -- the youngest player in the list at 19 years old -- who hit his way up to 30th position from 50th.
Osment came to fame starring in the 1999 thriller "The Sixth Sense."
The oldest player in the list was 77-year-old Clint Eastwood.
The player whose game took the biggest hit was TV actor Kevin Nealon, down to 84th position from 55th. Continued...
