NEW YORK, July 6 (Reuters) - Discover Financial Services (DFS.N) shares fell 7.9 percent to $9.67 in extended trade on Monday after the credit card company said it has commenced a public offering for $500 million in common stock.
The company also said that it intends to offer senior notes in the near future, subject to market conditions.
