(OFFICIAL)CORRECTED-Calif Moss Landing 6 kept online
(Corrects July 7 story showing power plant remained online. Reported as offline due to system error at Cal ISO)
LOS ANGELES, July 7 (Reuters) - Dynegy Inc's (DYN.N) natural gas-fired 754-megawatt Unit 6 at its Moss Landing plant in California did not go offline as the California Independent System Operator showed in a report on Tuesday.
Both the Cal ISO and Dynegy officials said the report was issued in error. A Dynegy spokeswoman, citing the plant's manager, said Unit 6 did not go offline and was operating normally.
The 755-megawatt Unit 7 was listed in the same report as available for service.
The Moss Landing station is near Salinas in Monterey County, about 90 miles south of San Francisco.
Units at the station include two 510 MW combined-cycle units, 1 and 2 (which entered service in 2002), the 754 MW Unit 6 (1967) and the 755-MW Unit 7 (1968).
Each of the 510 MW combined cycle units is made up of two 165 MW gas turbines and one 180 MW steam turbine.
One MW powers about 700 homes in Northern California. (Reporting by Bernie Woodall)
