(Adds detail on pipeline route, Ida)

NEW YORK, Nov 9 (Reuters) - Pipeline operator Williams (WMB.N) said it was experiencing a loss of 250 million cubic feet per day of Gulf of Mexico natural gas supply on its 8.4 billion cubic-feet-per-day Transco pipeline on Monday due to Tropical Storm Ida.

Transco's 10,500-mile system delivers natural gas from the Gulf coast to the Southeast, Mid-Atantic and Northeast.

Early on Monday, Ida had been downgraded to a tropical storm from a hurricane. (Reporting by Edward McAllister; editing by Jim Marshall)
