UPDATE 1-Blind Faith oil platform shut due to Ida -Anadarko

HOUSTON, Nov 9 (Reuters) - The Blind Faith oil and gas production platform in the eastern Gulf of Mexico has been shut due to the threat of Tropical Storm Ida, Anadarko Petroleum Corp (APC.N) said Monday.

Production totals affected were not immediately available.

Blind Faith is operated by Chevron Corp (CVX.N). It is a floating platform in 6,500 feet (1,981 meters) of deep water about 150 miles (250 km) southeast of New Orleans. (Reporting by Bruce Nichols; editing by Jim Marshall)
