US LOOP oil port operations seen back Tues or Weds
NEW YORK, Nov 10 (Reuters) - Operations at the giant Louisiana Offshore Oil Port (LOOP) should return to normal by late Tuesday or early Wednesday after loadings were halted in preparation for Tropical Storm Ida, a spokeswoman said.
The LOOP, which takes in an average of 1 million barrels of foreign crude from cargo ships daily, stopped offloading tankers early Sunday afternoon in preparation for Ida.
The LOOP is the only U.S. port that can receive the largest crude oil tankers. (Reporting by Joshua Schneyer)
