NEW YORK, Nov 10 (Reuters) - BP (BP.L)(BP.N) said Tuesday the force majeure in effect on the offshore portion of its Destin natural gas pipeline in the Gulf of Mexico would terminate early Tuesday.

Late Monday the company declared force majeure due to Tropical Storm Ida because it was unable to provide transportation services from its offshore receipt points. Ida has since been downgraded to a tropical depression.

The pipeline runs from the central Gulf of Mexico to the state of Mississippi and extends further north where it connects with nine major interstate gas pipelines. It has a full capacity of 1.2 billion cubic feet per day. (Reporting by Eileen Moustakis)
