Valero says no impact for Corpus Christi SRU upset
HOUSTON, May 10 (Reuters) - Valero Energy Corp (VLO.N) said there was no impact to production from a Friday malfunction in a sulfur recovery unit in the east plant of the 315,000 barrel per day (bpd) Corpus Christi, Texas refinery.
"This was an upset at a sulfur recovery unit and it was quickly corrected," said Valero spokesman Bill Day. "There was no impact to production."
An electrical power malfunction triggered the malfunction, according to a notice filed with the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality. (Reporting by Erwin Seba, editing by Leslie Gevirtz)
