UPDATE 1-Carefusion to resume shipping Alaris pumps
* Says will begin implementing software correction
* Shipments had been halted because of product problems
CHICAGO, July 10 (Reuters) - Carefusion, the medical products business being spun off by Cardinal Health Inc (CAH.N), said it will resume shipments of its Alaris medication infusion pumps. Shipments had been halted because of problems with the product.
Shipments of Alaris PC and patient controlled analgesia units will begin immediately, it said.
The company said it has received clearance for the Food and Drug Administration for a software correction that will be implemented on the new Alaris PC units. (Reporting by Debra Sherman; editing by John Wallace)
