NEW YORK, Nov 11 (Reuters) - Comcast Corp's (CMCSA.O) bid for a controlling stake in NBC Universal to create a media powerhouse could be hurt by conflicting interests on Capitol Hill and conditions that hurt synergies, but the deal will likely be approved by regulators after a lengthy review.

Comcast and General Electric Co (GE.N) have been in talks to reach a deal that would give the cable operator a 51 percent stake in a NBC Universal venture. Comcast would contribute its cable networks and $4 billion to $6 billion in cash.  Continued...
