UPDATE 1-CSC quarterly revenue falls but meets Wall St view

NEW YORK, Nov 11 (Reuters) - U.S. technology services provider Computer Sciences Corp (CSC.N) on Wednesday reported a slight fall in revenue and a sharp drop in earnings from a year earlier when it enjoyed a tax benefit.
Computer Sciences, which provides technology and outsourcing services to companies and government agencies, said its quarterly net profit fell to $221 million, or $1.40 a share, from $453 million, or $2.95 a share, a year earlier.
Revenue fell to $4.0 billion from $4.2 billion. That was in line with the average analyst estimate, according to Thomson Reuters I/B/E/S.
It also reaffirmed its outlook for the full fiscal year, forecasting revenue of $16.0 billion to $16.5 billion and earnings per share of $4.80 to $5.00.
The company's shares, which had risen over 40 percent over the past 6 months, eased around 1 percent in after-hours trade. (Reporting by Ritsuko Ando; Editing by Phil Berlowitz)
