HOUSTON, July 12 (Reuters) - Exxon Mobil Corp (XOM.N) said on Sunday that a malfunction in a gasoline-producing fluidic catalytic cracking unit at its 344,500 barrel per day (bpd) Beaumont, Texas, refinery on Saturday had no impact on production.

The FCC's south wet gas compressor was shut Saturday night after a part on the unit broke releasing hydrocarbons into the air, according to the notice filed with the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality.

Exxon spokesman Kevin Allexon said the leak was minor and there was no impact to production at the refinery. (Reporting by Erwin Seba; Editing by Diane Craft)
