Gmarket shares jump 11 pct in NY on EBay interest

NEW YORK, Aug 13 (Reuters) - U.S.-traded shares of Gmarket Inc GMKT.O jumped more than 11 percent on Wednesday following news that EBay Inc (EBAY.O) is seeking to buy a stake in the South Korean online retailer from Interpark Corp (035080.KQ).

Gmarket's shares jumped 11.72 percent to $24.78 on the Nasdaq, while EBay fell 1.69 percent to $25.61.
